James Fitzpatrick appointed Allianz Chief Technical Officer

Allianz Australia’s Managing Director Richard Feledy today announced the appointment of James Fitzpatrick as Allianz’s Chief Technical Officer, effective from August 2020.

James will continue the work of leading Allianz’s strategic focus to deliver leading-edge products and portfolio management and pricing capabilities.

James has over 20 years’ experience in driving product and performance innovation in the financial services industry with extensive experience in the areas of strategy, product management, pricing, underwriting and reinsurance. James joins Allianz from Avant Mutual where he was Chief Data Officer and General Manager of Member Solutions. He has also held the roles of Chief Customer Officer and Chief Operating Officer at SuperConcepts, and a number of executive roles from his decade-long tenure at Suncorp.

Commenting on the new appointment, Richard said: “James’ passion for customers, vast knowledge of the insurance industry, coupled with his leadership experience across various areas such as data analytics and product innovation fully equip him to drive our vision of technical excellence. I am very pleased to welcome him to our leadership team, and look forward to Allianz benefiting from his expertise.”
