Richard Feledy
Managing Director
Richard Feledy is the Managing Director of the Allianz Australia Group of companies. Richard is a member of the Investment Committee and is an Invitee of the Audit Committee, Risk Committee, People, Culture and Remuneration Committee, Technology Committee and Nomination Committee.
Richard has over 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry, spanning sales, relationship management, portfolio management, pricing, product framework development, and management reporting. Richard joined Allianz in 2001 as the Chief Technical Officer of Allianz Australia from 2010 to 2017. Richard was appointed Managing Director in 2018.
As a member of the Champions of Change Coalition, Richard is committed to gender equity and diversity.
Richard is presently an Executive Director of Allianz Services Pty Limited, and Non-Executive Director of the Insurance Council of Australia.
Paula Dwyer
Chairman of the Board, Investment Committee and Nomination Committee
Paula Dwyer is a Non-executive Director and Chairman of Allianz Australia Limited and Chairman of the Investment Committee and Nomination Committee. Paula is also a Member of the Allianz Australia Risk Committee, Audit Committee, People Culture and Remuneration Committee and Technology Committee.
Paula’s executive leadership and business career was in financial and corporate advisory services in mergers and acquisitions, financial markets, corporate finance, strategy and investments. Her career as a Chairman and non-executive director spans banking and finance, investment, insurance, healthcare, gambling and entertainment, fast-moving consumer goods, property and construction, and retailing.
Paula is presently a Non-executive Director of Dexus Funds Management Limited, Lion Beverages Group, Amcil Limited and TPG Telecom Limited, and a Member of the Committee of the Melbourne Cricket Club.
Anthony (Tony) Johnson
Chairman of the Audit Committee
Tony Johnson is a Non-executive Director of Allianz Australia Limited1 and Chairman of the Audit Committee. Tony is also a Member of the Allianz Australia Risk Committee, Investment Committee and Technology Committee.
Tony was a Partner and CEO of global professional services firm EY in Oceania, and a member of EY Asia Pacific and global leadership teams. Over 35 years, he combined senior firm leadership roles with client work at large Australian and global organisations, predominately in the financial services sector. Tony was formerly a member of the Champions of Change Coalition, Leadership Council on Cultural Diversity, Business Council of Australia Committees, Business Advisory Board of Monash Business School, the Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation Committee, Advisory Board of Fujitsu ANZ (Chair), 30% Club Education Working Group, and the Board of Australian Business Community Network (ABCN).
Tony is presently Chairman of Bupa ANZ, Director of Kieser Australia, Mercer Superannuation (Australia), and E&P Financial Group. He is a Member of the Melbourne Cricket Club Committee, the Melbourne Theatre Company Board of Management, and Trustee of the Collier Charitable Fund.
Vickki McFadden
Chairman of the Risk Committee
Vickki McFadden is a Non-executive Director of Allianz Australia Limited1 and the Chairman of the Risk Committee. Vickki is a Member of Allianz Australia’s Audit Committee, Technology Committee, and People, Culture and Remuneration Committee.
Vickki has broad experience in accounting, finance, risk management, corporate governance and law and is a former investment banker with considerable expertise in capital markets and corporate finance transactions.
Vickki is presently a Non-executive Director and the Chairman of The GPT Group Ltd. Vickki is also a Non-executive Director of Santos Limited.
Jane McAloon AM
Chairman of the People Culture and Remuneration Committee
Jane McAloon is a Non-executive Director of Allianz Australia Limited1 and Chairman of the People, Culture and Remuneration Committee. Jane is a Member of the Allianz Australia Audit Committee, Risk Committee, Technology Committee, and Nomination Committee.
Jane has been in the natural resources, energy, infrastructure and utility industries for over 30 years. She was formerly the President, Governance and Group Company Secretary at BHP Billiton, and Executive Director Strategic Services and Group Company Secretary at AGL. She held senior leadership roles with the NSW Government including Director General Energy and Utilities Department, and Deputy/Assistant Director General Cabinet Office, Energy, Rail and Land/Water Departments. She previously worked in a private legal practice as well as tutoring in Economics at Monash University.
Jane is presently a Non-executive Director and Chairman of Energy Australia Limited and BlueScope Steel Limited. She is a Member of Allens Linklaters Advisory Board and Monash University Council. Jane is also the Chair of the CBA CEO Advisory Panel.
Michael (Mike) Hawker AM
Chairman of the Technology Committee
Mike Hawker is a Non-executive Director of Allianz Australia Limited1 and Chairman of the Technology Committee. Mike is a member of the Allianz Australia Risk Committee, Audit Committee and Investment Committee.
Mike has substantial experience, with over 42 years in the financial services industry, including as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Insurance Australia Group from 2001 to 2008, and President of the Insurance Council of Australia from 2004 to 2005. Prior to this, he held senior positions at Westpac, and with Citibank in Australia and Europe. Mike brings a deep understanding of risk management, audit, sustainability and technology transformation, gained through experience in executive and director positions in Australia and internationally.
Mike is presently Deputy Chair of BUPA Australia and New Zealand, Non-executive Director of British United Provident Association Board (UK) and the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney.
Renate Wagner
Non-Executive Director
Renate Wagner is a Non-executive Director of Allianz Australia Limited1. She has over 28 years’ experience in the financial services and insurance industries having worked in various senior executive roles.
Renate commenced in 2013 at Allianz SE as Head of CFO Office before becoming Head of CEO Office. She has since held a number of roles including Regional CFO Allianz Asia Pacific (Singapore), Regional CEO of Life & Health, Allianz Asia Pacific (Singapore), and Chief Human Resources Officer, Allianz SE.
Renate is presently a member of the Board of Management of Allianz SE, Germany (since 2020) overseeing Asia Pacific, Mergers & Acquisitions, People and Culture. Renate is also Chairperson of Allianz (China) Insurance Holding Company Ltd, a Member of the Supervisory Board of Allianz Holding Eins GmbH (Vienna), and a Non-executive Director of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co Ltd and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Co Ltd (India).
Thomas Naumann
Non-Executive Director
Thomas Naumann is a Non-executive Director of Allianz Australia Limited1. He is a member of the Allianz Australia Audit Committee, Risk Committee, Investment Committee, Nomination Committee, People Culture and Remuneration Committee and Technology Committee.
Thomas has over 26 years’ experience in the insurance industry, with extensive knowledge of the financial services sector. He has held various senior positions in the Allianz SE group since 2003 and was an Executive Director for Allianz Asset Management AG, KG Allgemeine Leasing GmbH & Co., and a Senior General Manager for Dresdner Bank AG.
Thomas is presently an Executive Vice President of Allianz SE, a Non-executive Director of Allianz S.p.A, Allianz Sigorta A.S., Allianz Hayat ve Emeklilik A.S., and the Allianz Australia Life Insurance group of companies. Thomas is also a Member of the Supervisory Board of Allianz Versicherungs-AG Munich and Chair of its Audit and Risk Committee, Member of the Supervisory Board of Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty SE, Munich, and Chairman of its Audit & Risk Committee.
Christopher (Chris) Townsend
Non-Executive Director
Chris Townsend is a Non-executive Director of Allianz Australia Limited1 . Chris is a Member of the Allianz Australia Audit Committee and Risk Committee.
Chris has extensive knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance sector, including in the Asia Pacific region, having held various senior executive roles across the industry over the last 35 years. Prior to his appointment to the Board of Management of Allianz SE in 2021, Chris was the CEO International at AIG Inc. based in Hong Kong and London. He was responsible for all of AIG’s general insurance business outside of the USA, the CEO for MetLife Asia, and part of the Global Executive Committee.
Chris is presently a member of the Board of Management of Allianz SE. He oversees the Global Insurance Lines, Reinsurance, Anglo Markets, Middle East and Africa. Chris is also a non-executive director of several other Allianz Global Group companies.
Dr Katharina Amann
Alternate Director of the Board
Katharina Amann is an alternate director for Renate Wagner and Christopher Townsend, both Non-executive Directors of the Board of Allianz Australia Limited1.
Katharina previously led Allianz’ Automotive Business in Germany as a Director Automotive at Allianz Versicherungs AG and as CEO of Volkswagen Autoversicherung AG, the Joint Venture of Allianz and Volkswagen Financial Services. Prior to this, Katharina held roles with HUK-Coburg Insurance Group, Coburg, BMW Group, Munich and Bain & Company, Munich.
Katharina is presently the Head of Business Division Asia Pacific, at Allianz SE in Munich.

Libby Davidson
Libby Davidson joined Allianz in 2024 and leads the Corporate Affairs and Governance Division. The Division’s remit includes Legal, Sustainability, Company Secretariat, Governance, Communications and Corporate Affairs. She is responsible for legal and governance advice and support, sustainability strategy and commitments, managing Allianz’s reputation, community relations, and engagement with external stakeholders.

James Fitzpatrick
James Fitzpatrick has 25 years' experience in driving product and performance innovation in the financial services industry. He has extensive experience in the areas of data, strategy, product management, pricing, underwriting, and reinsurance. As Chief Data Officer, James is responsible for defining and delivering the data and insights strategy. The division is also responsible for data governance, enterprise data products, and applied data and intelligence.

Julie Mitchell
As Chief General Manager Commercial, Julie Mitchell is responsible for developing and delivering strategies that support our customers’ needs, from small businesses to large corporates and multinationals. Our Commercial division’s key purpose is to deliver exceptional experiences and insurance solutions to Commercial customers through brokers and our underwriting agencies, and delight our partners with ease and simplicity.
Julie became Chief General Manager Commercial in 2025 following 25 years at Allianz in several senior leadership positions, including Chief General Manager of our Personal Injury division.
Anna Stavropoulos
Anna Stavropoulos oversees the People & Culture division and everything relating to our employees. This includes fostering an inclusive culture that enables innovation, customer obsession, and outperformance, as well as delivering an engaging experience for our people through simple and intuitive processes and systems. She is also responsible for leadership, learning, recognition and wellbeing. Anna was appointed Chief People and Culture Officer in 2025, after five years with Allianz.
Roland Umbricht
Roland joined Allianz Australia in October 2024 from Allianz SE, where he was previously Head of Global P&C, and prior to that served as Chief Underwriting Officer, Head of P&C, Allianz Switzerland.
Roland has over been with Allianz for 24 years, including 18 years with Allianz Switzerland. He holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Zurich.
