Strata insurance is cover designed for apartments, townhouses, offices, shopping centres, and other buildings collectively owned under a strata title. It typically covers the building and common areas, mitigates your public liability risks, and offers financial security against events such as fire, storm damage, and other accidental damage.

With an increasing number of Australians calling strata properties home every year, we’ve partnered with Strata Community Insurance who exclusively serve the strata community with tailored insurance solutions. They’re trusted to insure almost half a million units, apartments, and townhouses across Australia.

Strata Community Insurance have over 40 years experience in strata cover. They have a variety of options available, so you can find the cover that’s right for your strata community.

Strata Community Insurance is a specialist insurance provider that exclusively serves the strata community.

They’re Australian-owned with a presence in all major capital cities, and have partnered with Allianz Australia to offer cover that meets the unique needs of strata communities.

Strata insurance operates differently from individual home insurance because it covers the collective interests of all lot owners within a strata scheme and is required by law.

Home (or Buildings) Insurance is designed to cover the physical structures of standalone houses. Contents insurance is designed to cover the items inside your home like your furniture, white goods, clothes, and more.

While the strata policy covers things such as the building structure and common property it doesn’t cover things like personal property or belongings. Each individual owner may need to consider their own additional insurance needs such as contents or landlord insurance.

Strata Community Insurance has several claim lodgement options   available 24/7 for your body corporate or owners corporation, including online. Strata claims are most often lodged on behalf of the body corporate by either an owners committee member, your strata manager, or your insurance broker. For more information, see the  Strata Community Insurance page on how to make a claim.

Our Contents Insurance covers the cost of loss or damage to your contents at home. This includes your furniture, white goods, rugs, electrical appliances, clothes, linen, and more.

Our Landlord Insurance covers the cost of loss or damage to your investment property and the contents you provide for your tenant. You can buy a building-only or contents-only policy, or combine both.

Explore our Help page for questions about your policy, claims, payments, and more. If you need to reach us, we're ready to connect.
