Your premium is based on your circumstances, the cover you’ve chosen and your likelihood of making a claim. When you update or renew your insurance policy, your premium may change. For example, changing your sum insured amount, excess level or optional covers can change your premium.

Other factors outside of your personal circumstances can also affect your premium. Things like increases in claims costs and inflation or the likelihood of future weather events can mean an increase in your renewal premium.

Learn more about how your premium is calculated.

Our team can review your policy to help you make sure you’re only paying for what you need.

To make your premiums more manageable, you could consider:

  • increasing your excess
  • adjusting the amount you’re insured for
  • looking at your optional covers
  • changing your payments from yearly to monthly

Different options may be available depending on your policy. Call us on 13 10 00 to discuss your options.
