One of Australia’s leading direct marketers has been appointed to lead Allianz’s marketing efforts, and a new customer-advocate role will sit on the leadership team, as part of a renewed focus on customers.
Nick Adams, a data-led marketer with over 20 years’ experience, will join Allianz as Chief Market Manager (CMM), after leading marketing teams at both Telstra and Westpac.
Allianz Australia’s MD Niran Peiris and Deputy MD Richard Feledy said Nick’s background across marketing, data and digital made him perfect for the role.
“Allianz’s renewal agenda is all about making customer experience the top priority for all our actions and today’s announcements are tangible steps on this path,” said Mr Peiris.
“Nick has extensive experience in all aspects of customer engagement and we are pleased he will join our talented team.”
Mr Feledy, who steps into the MD role from 1 January 2018, said the forward-looking appointments were a key part of shaping his leadership team.
“These appointments show we are serious about building on our focus on customers and advancing our digital agenda. We have in Nick someone deeply skilled in creating a customer focus and a track record of delivering customer programs across Australia’s largest retail brands.”
Mr Feledy said Allianz’s current Chief Risk Officer, Noeline Woof retires in November after a 25 year career. Long standing Allianz leader, Lori Callahan will step into a newly shaped Chief Risk Officer (CRO) which will include specific accountability for representing the customer in all key decisions. Lori will report to the Managing Director.
“Lori is the right person to champion the customer agenda at Allianz, with a strong background in operations and more recently leading the marketing, data and digital teams.
“Lori’s career growth within Allianz demonstrates our absolute commitment to growing talent from within.”
