Allianz Broker Division Management Changes

Allianz Broker Division Management Changes

23 November 2017

Michelle Hay joins Allianz’s broker division as General Manager Consumer, SME and Platform Solutions, and Alison Brough moves into the role of National Manager Strategy and Key Partnerships within the same division.

Both Michelle and Alison will report directly to Chief General Manager Broker and Agency, David Hosking.

Michelle Hay has nearly 20 years’ insurance industry experience across broking, distribution and underwriting gained through a number of large national and international firms, including Zurich, Suncorp and JLT. Joining Allianz from Konekt, where she led operations as Chief Operating Officer and Company Director, Michelle will be crucial in providing dedicated leadership of Allianz’s Personal Lines and SME portfolios, and building its broker platform strategy.

Alison Brough joined Allianz from Vero in May this year and has worked significantly to retain and grow Allianz’s broker business. She will drive Allianz’s strategic response to a changing intermediary market by identifying and fostering key partnerships in Australia and New Zealand.

Chief General Manager Broker and Agency, David Hosking said: “Broker and Agency continues to play a critical role in driving growth for the wider Allianz Group. Both Michelle and Alison are fantastic additions to the Broker and Agency Leadership Team and will be key in driving our customer focus and growth agenda.”

“On behalf of Allianz I congratulate Alison on her appointment and welcome Michelle to the team,” David concluded.

Alison’s appointment is effective immediately and Michelle will commence with Allianz in January 2018.
