Allianz appoints new General Manager for Workers Compensation

Allianz is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Lloyd to General Manager Underwritten Workers Compensation and Distribution, effective
22 July 2017.

Adam will move from his existing role in Allianz Underwritten Workers Compensation to succeed Michael Taig who will retire from the position after
17 years.

Allianz Australia Chief General Manager, Workers Compensation, Helen Silver AO said, “Michael has been an integral part of Allianz Workers Compensation and I’d like to thank him for his strong and professional leadership of our underwritten business over the last 17 years.

I’m very pleased Adam has joined the Workers Compensation Senior Management Team, his technical experience and people leadership skills make him the perfect person to lead our underwritten business in the future.”

Adam’s promotion is great evidence of the opportunities to grow your career at Allianz. Adam has been with Allianz since 2008, most recently in the role of Manager – Sales and Underwriting.

In his new role as General Manager Underwritten Workers Compensation and Distribution, Adam will be responsible for Allianz’s privately underwritten workers compensation business, which encompasses the ACT, Northern Territory, Tasmania, Western Australia, Seafarers and also Excess Workers.

In addition, Adam has responsibility for underwritten workers compensation distribution and major client strategic management.
