Allianz announces 2017 sponsorship with Vivid Sydney

Allianz has announced that it will be a key Supporter of Vivid Sydney, the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas.

From 26 May to 17 June, Vivid Sydney will transform the city into an outdoor gallery featuring vibrant light projections and installations, a cutting-edge contemporary music program, and some of the world’s most important creative industry forums.

Following the recent launch of Allianz’s ‘Be inspired’ campaign, Managing Director for Allianz Australia, Niran Peiris, says the partnership is a great fit.

“We’re excited to be supporting such an iconic event that brings together millions of people each year to celebrate art, technology and innovation.”

Our new brand tells our customers: ‘Don’t just be insured, be inspired’, and what could be more inspiring than a festival of light, music and ideas?” he said.

Allianz is proud to support the Vivid Sydney Volunteer Program with over 500 sponsored volunteers across key areas of the Vivid Sydney footprint to help and guide visitors. Allianz is also excited to bring inspiration to the harbour by powering participating boats in the Harbour Lights installation.

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer and Vivid Sydney Executive Producer Sandra Chipchase said, “We’re delighted to welcome Allianz as a Vivid Sydney Supporter in 2017. Through their support, our Vivid Sydney volunteers will be sporting bright pink jackets making sure they’re easy for visitors to identify as they share their inspiring tips with visitors to ensure they get the most out of their Vivid Sydney experience.”

In addition, with a partnership in place with the Australian Paralympic Committee (APC), Allianz is also sponsoring a speaking session for prominent Australian Paralympian, Joany Badenhorst, at Vivid Ideas on 17 June.

“As a large organisation, we’re always looking for ways to generate inspiring discussion, and it’s great that we have this opportunity to make a contribution in this type of forum,” Niran concluded.
A social media competition titled Be #inspired will also be run from 26 May to 17 June.
