Allianz launches new corporate travel insurance products
Sydney, 17 June 2011
Allianz Australia today announced the launch of two new corporate travel insurance products with high quality medical assistance and protection as the core benefit.
The two products, Allianz Corporate Travel and Personal Accident Insurance and Expatriate Medical Protection Insurance, combine market-leading cover from Allianz Australia with access to the medical expertise of the world’s leading assistance company, Allianz Global Assistance, formerly Mondial Assistance.
Allianz Australia Managing Director, Terry Towell, said the new products offer a more potent and flexible suite of corporate insurance options for the Australian broking industry.
“After more than ten years underwriting corporate travel products for the broking industry, we believe we have an even stronger product offer with specialist assistance provided by Allianz Global Assistance. We are leaders in insurance, they are leaders in assistance—this is a very compelling combination,” he said.
Ian Norris, CEO of Allianz Global Assistance Australia, said the company had a specialist team including doctors and registered nurses offering 24 hour, seven day assistance to Australians who are injured or become ill overseas.
“Last year, we helped more than 15,000 Australians in various parts of the world—we provide access to the high standard of medical care that Australians are used to. We connect with doctors and hospitals overseas to ensure the patient receives the most appropriate medical treatment and in serious cases, we will send a medical team to assist in the repatriation of the claimant,” Mr Norris said.
Both Allianz policies offer flexible cover options including variable benefit limits and excess options, so brokers and agents have the ability to design corporate policies to meet their clients’ individual requirements and at the same time help them manage their premiums.
Brokers and agents can purchase Allianz Corporate Travel Insurance through the Allianz Workbench, which has been purpose-built to provide a superior online service in the delivery of these products. For larger and more complex accounts, brokers and agents will still be able to speak to an underwriter if required.
Allianz Corporate Travel and Personal Accident Insurance offers comprehensive benefits to protect a company’s employees who travel for work in Australia or overseas.
Allianz Expatriate Medical Protection Insurance provides cover for medical, specialist, hospital and pharmaceutical expenses for employees who become sick or are injured while living and working overseas.
