New Interactive Customer Site Sets the Bar for Customer Service

Allianz has chosen Liferay, Inc., provider of award-winning social collaboration and portal software, for its new customer portal. Powered by Liferay Portal, My Insurance Portfolio, incorporates Allianz’s web presence directly into core sales and marketing strategies and provides both existing and prospective customers a secure and dynamic online environment for performing insurance-related account management activities.

According to Mr Coles, “Allianz’s website now offers a market-leading customer experience. Customers can search for and save quotes, create user accounts and establish an online identity with Allianz that tracks all their insurance activities.”

Not only can customers see an aggregated list of their Allianz policies and quote information (eg compulsory third party, life, motor, home), they can also renew policies and pay their premium online. They can edit and update personal details for all policies in one place and correspond with Allianz’s support team directly from the portal. As an added bonus, My Insurance Portfolio even sends renewal and billing alerts for any non-Allianz policies that customers have in their portfolio, delivering a customer service experience truly devoted to user convenience.
