Allianz took away two awards at Wednesday’s icare Treasury Managed Fund (TMF) Awards in Sydney for its Workers Compensation claims services.
Allianz was awarded the People’s Choice Award and the Framework and System of the Year, alongside its partners the NSW Department of Education and the NSW Department of Industry.
Mark Pittman, General Manager Allianz Government Services, said he was thrilled to receive the awards, which demonstrate Allianz’s commitment to helping people who are job detached to find work again and helping people who are injured at work to receive better support when they return to employment.
“My team work hard every day to find new and better ways to support workers across New South Wales,” said Mr Pittman.
“Winning these awards demonstrates the value of true collaboration and how it can really benefit workers. It’s when insurers and NSW Government agencies work hand-in-hand to provide support to workers that the best and most sustainable outcomes are achieved,” he said.
In the People’s Choice category, Allianz and the NSW Department of Education were recognised for an industry first pilot program that uses behavioural economics principals to help workers find new employment opportunities.
In the Framework and System category, Allianz and the NSW Department of Industry embarked on a comprehensive end-to-end review of return to work processes. As a result of this review, Allianz helped build and implement a revised injury management framework that better informed the Department’s return-to-work coordinators and provided better return-to-work support for workers that were injured.
