What does Motor Burnout cover?
Our optional Motor Burnout cover can help with the unexpected costs caused by electric motor burnout, also known as fusion damage. You can choose to add it to your Allianz Home, Renter or Landlord Insurance policies.
Most household appliances, such as fridges and air conditioners, use electric motors. Changes to the electric current powering the motor, like a power surge, can cause the wiring or motor to ‘burn out’. If this happens, the appliance breaks down, leaving you with the costs to repair or replace it.
Below is a snapshot of some of our product features, benefits, and exclusions. For the full list of product inclusions and exclusions, we recommend reading the relevant Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
