The Northern Territory is home to more than 90 parks and reserves over 45,000 square kilometres of landi. Great for nature lovers, camping grounds for the Northern Territory stretch from the arid heart of Australia to the tropical Top End. Some popular parks with campsites include Litchfield National Park and Watarrka National Park, as well as Kakadu and Finke Gorge as outlined below.

Kakadu National Park

At almost 20,000 square kilometres, the Kakadu National Park is the second largest national park in the world. As one of four Australian sites listed on the World Heritage List for its natural and cultural values, the park attracts both local and international visitors alike. The park hosts not only townships and astonishing wonders but also one of the most productive Uranium mines in the world. The park is conveniently located just 171km south of Darwin and is very camper-friendly as there are multiple camping grounds located all over the park - some are only accessible by foot but many can be reached by carii.
