CAPTION: Your journey: workers' compensation

If you've been injured at work, it's important to know that someone's got your back and can help with your recovery. Allianz is committed to supporting your recovery and return to work and to helping you understand the workers’ compensation process.

Depending on your circumstances, you may be entitled to compensation. This may be weekly payments, medical treatment, or rehabilitation. Let's break it down.

You have been injured at work.

First, you should seek medical help. Keep in touch with your employer and supply them with a workers’ compensations certificate from your doctor. This is an assessment of how much work you can do.

Speak to your employer about lodging your claim. Allianz will contact you about the next steps once we have received your claim.

Keep in touch with your case manager. They are your go-to person who will support you through your recovery so that you can get back to health and back to your life.

Your case manager may change over time for a number of reasons. But rest assured someone will always be available to talk to.

We understand there may be times when you wish to provide feedback or don't agree with an Allianz decision. You should speak to your case manager about what options are available to you.

With our help, you can take control of your recovery and move forward with your life.

If an employee has been injured in your workplace and you’re making a workers’ compensation claim for the first time, watch our simple step-by-step video. It takes you through the claims process.

CAPTION: Your health first: treatment

The treatment you receive in your participation in your treatment plan is an important part of a successful recovery.

Your doctor will recommend and discuss the most appropriate treatment with you. Some recommended treatment requires pre-approval from Allianz. Simply check with your case manager if you're unsure.

Allianz can reimburse you for approved treatment costs or we can usually pay the medical provider directly. There can be standard rates for treatment, so check this with your treatment provider so you know if you're liable for a gap.

Getting the treatment you need and being actively involved in your recovery will see you returning to health sooner.
