Helen Silver named an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO)

Helen SilverThe Order of Australia is one of the highest honours to be appointed to an Australian citizen. The honour is decided by the Governor-General, the Australian representative of Queen Elizabeth II, who is Australia's Head of State.

"I am really proud and humbled by this honour," said Helen. "It would not have been possible without the enormous support and trust of so many people throughout my career. From senior politicians through to community and business leaders, I have been fortunate to work with so many committed, talented, passionate and knowledgeable people."

Prior to joining Allianz Australia in 2013, Helen pursued a distinguished career at the highest levels of Australian public administration and government. She has also worked in the banking industry.

Currently, Helen is a Vice-Chancellor's Professorial Fellow from Monash University where she has attained both a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Economics.
