As Melbourne goes about cleaning up the damage following last night’s fierce storm, that saw the many suburbs smashed by strong winds, heavy rain, flash flooding and hail the size of golf balls, Allianz Australia is reminding customers that the claims team is here to help.
Allianz’s General Manager for Customer and Partner Services, Matt Wood said that while the storm has had a significant impact, the Allianz team was available and well prepared to support customer enquiries and claims requirements.
“We have deployed additional staff from around the country to help with increased call volumes and claims enquiries. If you are experiencing difficulties we do ask for your patience.
“Our assessors are already on the ground helping customers and we are establishing our hail assessment centres, where customers can go to have their car assessed,” he said.
“We have also activated our automated callback system, so customers have the option of a call back from the next available claims consultant.
“We understand that customers will be concerned, especially with Christmas just around the corner. I want to reassure the community that we here to help and will continue to work around the clock to help people get back in their homes and on the road again,” he said.
