  1. Information on how to qualify for the $50 JB Hi-Fi eGift card promotion form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed upon acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. This offer is not valid for any policies cancelled during the cooling off period. Participants not complying with these terms and conditions will be disqualified.
  2. The promoter is Allianz Australia Insurance Limited (ABN 15 000 122 850, AFS Licence No. 234708) of Level 12, 2 Market Street, Sydney, NSW, 2000.
  3. Australian residents aged 18 years or over and excluding Northern Territory residents are eligible for this Promotion.
  4. Individuals who purchase a new Allianz Comprehensive Car Insurance Policy during the Promotional Period directly via the Allianz Website will receive a $50 JB Hi-Fi eGift card. The policy will be deemed purchased when the Promoter receives full payment of the annual policy premium or the first month’s instalment of the premium if paying by the month.
  5. JB Hi-Fi eGift Card will be emailed to you 3 to 6 weeks after payment to Allianz for your new Allianz Comprehensive Car Insurance Policy. This offer is not valid for any policies cancelled during the cooling off period. Please ensure you have provided a valid email address. The JB Hi-Fi eGift Card will be emailed to the email address provided when purchasing your new Allianz Comprehensive Car Insurance Policy online. This offer is only valid until 11:59pm 17 August 2020 (AEST). The eGift Card will be sent from JB Hi-Fi.   6. Current policy holders or renewing policy holders do not qualify for the $50 JB Hi-Fi eGift card. Policies purchased or held with any Allianz Partners or intermediaries are excluded. Polices cancelled, lapsed or renewed after the Promotional Period starts will be excluded. The commencement date of the policy must be within the Promotional Period to qualify. Updates or inclusions to existing policies for Comprehensive Car Insurance cover will not qualify for the eGift card.
  7. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of policy holders (including a persons identity, age and place of residence and policy) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the qualification process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
  8. Incomplete or indecipherable policies will be deemed invalid.
  9. If there is a dispute as to the identity of a policy holder, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the policy holder.
  10. The eGift Card is not transferable or exchangeable and is not redeemable for cash. If an eGift card has expired it cannot be extended or replaced. If an eGift Card or receipt of it incurs a tax liability, the relevant recipient of the eGift Card (“Recipient”) is liable for payment of such tax.
  11. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Rental Car


When your car goes in for repair after an accident, where available, a rental car is provided for up to 21 days ($100 maximum daily rental amount). If a rental car is unavailable, we will pay you a daily travel allowance of $50.

Removal of basic excess for windscreen claims

Choose this option to remove the excess on two repair claims and one replacement claim per policy year for window glass or windscreen damage. Your Star Rating is not affected by those claims and you can fast track your repair by calling O'Brien Glass directly.4

Star Rating Protection


Star Rating Protection allows you to claim one at-fault accident a year without losing your Star Rating. Protects your Star Rating in the event of an at-fault accident, or a claim where the responsible party can't be identified, or a claim where your car is damaged by nature or wildlife.
