The 2014 World Car Award winners were announced in April, awarding the best in performance, luxury and design. The Audi A3, Porsche 911 GT3 and BMW i3 came in first in their fields.

The winners of the 10th annual World Car Awards were announced at this year's New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) in April. The winner of each category - including performance, green car and car of the year - was decided by a prestigious international jury panel of 69 automotive journalists from across the globe. The expert panellists, representing over 22 nations, had each driven the new vehicles as part of their work and personally evaluated the vehicles, before deciding the finalists for each categoryi.

Featuring innovative lightweight technology, mobile infotainment and advanced driver assistance systems, the Audi A3 has been awarded Car of the Year 2014.
