Human rights

Promoting respect, fairness and responsibility in our business
At Allianz Australia, we regard respect for human rights as a minimum standard for responsible business. This is in line with our commitment to the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Our human rights due diligence process is part of our sustainability approach as a corporate insurer, investor, employer and business partner.
Our approach focuses on identifying and addressing modern slavery risks in our operations and supply chain, and assessing potential human rights risks across our business. We conduct due diligence for business transactions, which includes monitoring of human rights concerns, in accordance with our human rights guidelines.

You can find more details on the  Allianz Sustainability Reporting webpage, or by visiting the Allianz Group human rights page

“We remain committed to advancing and respecting human rights and working together to eradicate modern slavery.”
 - Richard Feledy, Managing Director, Allianz Australia

Exploitation is a spectrum, ranging from dangerous and substandard working conditions to explicit violations of individuals’ human rights, such as modern slavery.

We recognise that modern slavery has the potential to exist in our global operations and supply chain in different ways.

Allianz Australia’s modern slavery risk profile is likely to evolve over time and may be impacted by external factors such as conflicts, natural disasters, and broader global supply chain issues.

Our people have a professional responsibility to speak up and report unethical behaviour. Allianz Australia is committed to providing a safe environment in which they can do so. We have various ways people can report human rights-related concerns, including modern slavery.

Concerns can be reported in Australia and New Zealand through these channels:
