- Overseas Emergency Snow Sport Assistance1,2,3,4
We can help if you are injured, become sick, or need treatment for a pre-existing medical condition (that we agreed to cover) while doing a covered snow sport overseas. This includes:
- Access to a medical adviser for emergency medical treatment while overseas.
- Medical evacuation to the nearest overseas hospital or back to Australia.
- Return of your dependants to Australia, if they are left unsupervised following your hospitalisation or evacuation.
- Own Snow Sport Equipment1,2,3
Cover is provided for your snow sport equipment if (during the period of cover) it’s stolen, accidently damaged or permanently lost while not in use. See Own Snow Sport Equipment in the PDS for the exceptions to this cover.
- Snow Sport Equipment Hire1,2
We’ll reimburse reasonable hire costs if your own equipment is misplaced or delayed for more than 24 hours, stolen, accidentally damaged, or permanently lost.
If you hired equipment and are charged for losing or damaging it, we’ll reimburse that charge.
If you can’t use your pre-booked and pre-paid ski passes, lift passes, equipment hire, or tuition fees due to injury, sickness, or a covered pre-existing condition, we’ll reimburse the unused non-refundable portion.
This also applies if you are diagnosed with COVID-19.
If all lifts at your pre-booked resort are closed for more than 24 hours due to lack of snow, bad weather, or power failure, we’ll reimburse costs for transport to the nearest resort or extra ski passes.
- Bad Weather and Avalanches1,2
If bad weather or an avalanche delays your pre-booked outbound or return travel by more than 12 hours, we’ll reimburse reasonable additional travel and accommodation costs until you can continue your trip.
