What is a Certificate of Currency?

A Certificate of Currency (CoC) proves you have insurance. Some countries call this a Certificate of Insurance. For Workers’ Compensation, you need an insurer-issued Certificate of Currency.

Which Allianz products offer a Certificate of Currency?

Can I get a Car Insurance cover note?

No, we don’t offer cover notes for our Car Insurance policies. However, if you buy a policy and then change your mind, you’ll have a 21-day cooling-off period. For full details, see the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).

How do I update my Certificate of Currency?

If your policy number begins with AAL or BC, you can update your certificate online through My Allianz. Log in to My Allianz with the email address and mobile number linked to your policy. To update your Certificate of Currency for other policies, please contact us.

When will I get my Certificate of Currency?

If you use My Allianz, you should receive your certificate by email within 30 minutes. If you can’t find it, please check your junk or spam folder. Used the Business Insurance request form? We’ll process your request on the next business day and email your certificate within 24 hours. Need your certificate urgently, or would you like it sent by post? Contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
