Public Liability Insurance

Our Public Liability Insurance,  included in our Public and Products Liability Insurance, covers you if a member of the public is injured, or their property is damaged, at your business premises or while using your products or services. It covers compensation you’re legally liable to pay subject to the policy limit, plus your reasonable legal fees.

Glass Insurance

If your practice or salon features glass windows, doors, display cases or shelves, there’s always the risk of accidental breakage. Our Glass Insurance is designed to cover the cost of replacing and fixing unexpectedly broken glass.

This can include the repair or replacement of signwriting and fittings surrounding your windows, as well as damage to illuminated/advertising signs or stock damage caused by the broken glass.

If the security of your business premises is affected due to glass breakage, our Glass Insurance can also cover the cost of employing security to guard your business, and carrying out temporary repairs, if necessary.

Commercial Property Insurance

Your work area contains not only your furniture and fittings, but may also contain treatment equipment and medical supplies. These assets are often specialised and expensive to replace.

Commercial Property Insurance covers you for accidental damage to your property insured, such as your practice fit out, contents, and medical supplies in case of unexpected insured events such as storms and fires. Commercial Property Insurance can help you repair or rebuild your business if something goes wrong.

Commercial Vehicle Insurance

Our Comprehensive Commercial Vehicle Insurance3 can cover your vehicle in the event of accidental damage or theft, and cover your legal liability for damage to third-party property caused by your vehicle.

Choose from three types of cover: Comprehensive, Fire and Theft or Third Party Property Damage only.

Helpful tip: Do you use your personal vehicle for business purposes? Your personal car insurance may not cover you if a loss occurs while using your car in connection with your business, such as driving to sites or client meetings to conduct your work. Check your personal car policy to see if you’re covered.

Business Interruption Insurance

No matter how prepared you are, life can throw unexpected events your way that can interrupt the success of your business. Our Business Interruption Insurance covers your lost income, profits or turnover as a result of unforeseen defined insured events. These can range from storms to fire.

Before you buy

You may need to hold a certain amount of professional indemnity insurance in order to practise as a healthcare professional. Check the AHPRA regulatory requirements for your occupation.

If you rent your practice premises, your lease may require you to take out a minimum level of public liability cover. Your lease or landlord may also specify a minimum amount of glass cover, so it’s important to check before you buy.

If your business has employees, workers' compensation insurance is mandatory in all Australian states and territories. Our Workers' Compensation Insurance can cover your employees if they’re involved in a workplace accident. We’ll work to support your business through the claims management process.
