An update from the Allianz Response Centre

Last updated on 15 September 2026

When extreme weather strikes, Allianz teams work together to support customers and communities when they need it most. In this video, Scott Cooper, Manager of the Allianz Event Response Centre, shares how the centre helps monitor major weather events, coordinate a rapid response, and connect customers with the support and resources they need before, during, and after an event.

Scott Cooper:  At Allianz, care is how we show up together when communities are impacted by severe weather.

The Allianz Event Response Centre is a key part of how we do that.

This is where our teams come together to monitor major weather events before, during and after they impact communities.

By combining live weather intelligence tools with our claims data, we're able to understand where impacts are developing, assess severity, and identify which communities are likely to need the most support.

These tools and their insights allow us to coordinate our response early. Claims teams, assessors, customer support, and recovery specialists can be mobilized together rather than operating in isolation so customers experience support that's connected, clear, and easy to navigate.

As the events unfold, the data in this room also helps us prioritize decisions in real time.

It guides where we deploy our disaster and recovery team, how we manage claims activity, and when additional support like emergency relief payments, temporary accommodation or community services including counselling may be required.

We also work alongside trusted community partners to deliver support that reflects specific needs of each location, recognizing that recovery looks different from one community to the next.

This means the right people working together at the right time, supporting customers through recovery.
