Today, Allianz Australia has announced a refreshed Farm Pack Insurance product, following an extensive review, to ensure it meets the needs of farmers today, and into the future.

The agricultural landscape has changed, and so has Farm Pack Insurance. Australia's agricultural sector faces an increasingly complex risk environment. Traditional threats like property damage, liability, and crop failure remain key concerns. However, climate-related events are intensifying, and new agricultural technologies are creating risks that didn't exist a decade ago.

Julie Mitchell, Chief General Manager of Commercial and Personal Injury at Allianz Australia, said the insurer has comprehensively reviewed and updated the product to reflect the realities facing farmers today, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to supporting their evolving needs.

“Our specialist Farm Team is always on the ground listening and responding, and it's their insight, combined with direct feedback from brokers and customers, that shaped these changes. We listened, and we acted. The result is simpler, more relevant cover backed by deep technical expertise and a customer-focused service model. At Allianz, we're committed to being in our customers' corner with the right cover and the right support; not just when things go wrong, but every step of the way.”

The updates add cover for specific farming requirements such as hobby farming, new motor accessories and motor vehicle cover components and increased farm contracting cover, along with a simplified Product Disclosure Statement.* Farmers are also supported for their crop insurance needs via Primacy, the leading provider of crop insurance in Australia and a partner of Allianz for over 30 years.

Julie Mitchell added, “Australian farmers are the backbone of this country, and they deserve an insurer that's truly in their corner. We're proud to be launching a product that reflects that commitment, and we look forward to working alongside our brokers and partners to make sure every farming customer has the cover and confidence they need to face whatever comes their way.”

The new Farm Pack Insurance product comes as Rural Aid joins Allianz’s Community Care program, supporting their Farm Recovery Events. These events focus on restoring farms and livelihoods, fostering community connection, and providing mental health support for farmers post-disaster.

Allianz Australia will launch the updated product on Allianz Alive, its digital broker platform, from 20 July 2026. For more information, visit Allianz Engage.
