  • The ANZIIF Industry Awards recognises excellence in performance, customer outcomes, innovation, and professional standards.
  • Allianz supported customers across 20 declared catastrophe events in 2025 and provided care to more than 10,000 customers experiencing vulnerability.

Allianz Australia won a major award at the 2026 Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) Awards: Large General Insurance Company of the Year.

The ANZIIF Awards are among the most respected accolades in the Australian and New Zealand insurance industry, recognising companies and individuals who demonstrate excellence in performance, customer outcomes, innovation and professional standards.

The Large General Insurance Company of the Year award recognises insurers that have demonstrated strong performance and outstanding service for their customers. As part of this award win, Allianz also earned recognition for its focus on long-term resilience.

In 2025, Allianz supported customers through a year of significant natural catastrophe activity – including Ex Tropical Cyclone Alfred and flooding across northern Queensland and the mid north coast of New South Wales. Allianz also advanced its commitment to customers experiencing vulnerability by identifying and providing dedicated pathways for more than 10,000 customers with vulnerable circumstances including domestic violence, mental health challenges, and financial hardship, across motor and property claims through dedicated support programs.

Richard Feledy, Managing Director at Allianz Australia, said, “Winning Large General Insurance Company of the Year reflects our ongoing investment in our people, our systems, and our approach to delivering care you can count on for our customers. When 2025 brought one of the most active years for natural catastrophes in the past decade, we were ready – not by accident, but by design. This award validates our focus on long-term resilience and our commitment to being there for Australians when it matters most.”
