With the goal of caring for West Australians in need this Christmas, Allianz Australia and West Coast Eagles teamed up yesterday to support Foodbank WA’s Give A Feed appeal.
Through its partnership with West Coast Eagles, Allianz sponsored 1,000 hampers for the appeal – a third of the target of 3,000 hampers, which includes the ingredients to provide a festive meal for a family of four.
Allianz Australia employees and West Coast Eagles players Jake Waterman, Tylar Young, Tim Kelly and Matt Flynn attended Foodbank WA’s facility in Perth to pack the hampers.
West Coast Eagles forward Jake Waterman said: “It’s amazing to have Allianz come on board as a partner and show their commitment to the WA community. To know that we are helping play a role in providing for 1,000 WA families in a time of need is something we are proud to be doing alongside Allianz.”
Richard Feledy, Managing Director of Allianz Australia said: “We’re really proud to partner with West Coast Eagles to support Foodbank’s Give A Feed initiative. Caring for Western Australian communities is central to our partnership, and this initiative is the first step, with more to come next year. We’re pleased to be able to contribute to the appeal and make a difference to many families this holiday season.”
Allianz Australia and West Coast Eagles recently announced a new multi-year partnership, with the insurer supporting the Club’s AFL, AFLW and Wheelchair football teams for the next four years.
The partnership will have a strong community focus, with the support of Foodbank WA’s Give a Feed appeal the first show of support for Western Australian communities.
