The number of vehicles on Australian roads has increased significantly in the last few years according to a recently released Australian Bureau of Statistics report comparing the Australian motor vehicle fleet between 2007 and 2012.
These changes are graphically illustrated in this infographic, including the fact that there are over 1.2 million more passenger vehicles on our roads now than in 2007. Increases in registration are also delved into by vehicle type, state and brand.
And the infographic also exposes changes to the age of the fleet as well as the growth in use of unleaded and diesel fuel.
