What is a Target Market Determination?

A Target Market Determination (commonly known as a TMD) describes the class of customers an insurance cover has been designed for, including the key attributes of the insurance cover and the customers eligible for it.

A TMD doesn’t form part of the standard terms and conditions of cover. These are set out in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Supplementary PDS. Before buying insurance, make sure you read the PDS and any Supplementary PDS.

Car Insurance

Policies purchased on or after 9 September 2021

For customers who purchased a new policy on or after 9 September 2021 and may have renewed. Your policy number will start with BC.
 

Policies purchased before 9 September 2021

For customers who purchased a new policy before 9 September 2021 and have since renewed. Your policy number will end with DMP, DVC or DVT.

Policies commencing or renewed on or after 28 October 2023

Applies to the Commercial Vehicle / Commerical Motor cover section in the Allianz Business Insurance Pack, Allianz Office Pack, and Allianz Trades and Services Pack policies, as well as standalone Commercial Motor Insurance policies. 
 

Policies, including renewals, effective between 30 September 2022 and 27 October 2023

Applies to the Commercial Vehicle / Commercial Motor cover section in the Allianz Business Insurance Pack, Allianz Office Pack, and Allianz Trades and Services Pack policies, as well as standalone Commercial Motor Insurance policies.
