Last updated on March 18, 2024
Mollie O'Callaghan OAM has joined the team as our newest Allianz Athlete Ambassador. She’s an accomplished Olympic swimmer who has achieved what many athletes aspire to – all before her 20th birthday. With two Olympic gold medals and two world records to her name, Mollie is ready to make her mark at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

Born in Logan City Qld, Mollie’s competitive swimming career kicked off at just seven years old. By 15 years old, Mollie made her international debut at the 2019 World Championships in Budapest, shortly followed by her first Olympic Games at Tokyo 2020, where she took home two gold medals. Now, at the age of 19, Mollie has her eyes set on the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

Mollie is best known for making history at the 2023 World Championships in Fukuoka becoming the first woman in history to win gold medals in both the 100m and 200m freestyle events. She won a further three gold medals and set a new world record in the 200m freestyle event.

“Preparing for the Olympic Games is no easy feat – a lot of hard work and dedication goes into it. I’m fortunate to have a great support network around me, and being a part of the Allianz Ambassador team means I can learn and get ready with some of our nation’s best athletes”, she says.

“I'm proud to stand beside a group of amazing role models and hope that, as an Allianz Ambassador, I can hopefully inspire more young athletes to make their own mark and set goals of their own." – Mollie O’Callaghan

To welcome her to the Allianz family, Mollie sat down with fellow Olympic swimmer, and Allianz athlete ambassador, Cate Campbell. Cate is a four-time Olympic gold medallist, who if she qualifies for Paris 2024, will be the first Australian to compete at five Olympic Games.
