Lodging an injury notification
You should notify Allianz of any injuries your employees have suffered. The initial notification can be made by
lodging an injury notification on-line.
The Seafarers legislation does not contain any specific timeframes around notification of injury; however, injuries should be notified to Allianz as soon as practicable. This allows Allianz to commence active injury management to facilitate early intervention and return to work strategies.
To make a claim for compensation
Should you wish to make a claim for compensation or benefits, please complete the following requirements:
- The worker must complete the claim form and provide this along with a medical certificate to the employer.
- The employer must then provide this documentation to Allianz.
- For clients who manage pre-excess, medical information and other relevant information must also be provided.
