Q. Does your business handle money, including for example cheques, credit cards, vouchers or cab charges?

A. You should consider including Money cover in your Allianz Business Pack.

The Money section covers loss of, or damage to money contained in the building during or outside business hours, while in a locked safe or strongroom, in transit, or in your personal custody while contained in your private residence.

What is Covered? Features and Benefits
Items such as current coin, bank notes, currency notes, cheques, credit card vouchers, credit cards, travellers’ cheques, cab vouchers, phone cards and instant lottery tickets (for their face value only).Where each event is selected on your policy, the following benefits apply:

Money in transit covers

  • Transit to or from your business premises
  • Money while contained in the nightsafe of any bank; and
  • Money drawn as wages and/or salaries until paid out.

Money contained in the building: you have a choice of taking out cover for one or more of the following events:
  1. During business hours;
  2. Outside business hours; and/or
  3. Only while contained in a securely locked safe or securely locked strongroom.

Money in Your personal custody covers

  • Money whilst kept in your personal custody in your private residence, or
  • The custody of an authorised person in their private residence

Safes or strongrooms covers loss of or damage to safes or strongrooms caused by unauthorised persons attempting to gain entry to the safe or strongroom
