Material Damage (compulsory cover)

Loss of, or damage to your business:

• Buildings – building structure, and walls, footpaths, etc
• Contents - equipment such as printing presses, computers, photocopiers, telephones and business records
• Goods & Stock in Trade or work in progress, such as paper and client computer disks

This section covers damage by, for example:

• Fire
• Storm or lightning damage
• Malicious damage
• Accidental damage

Examples of events which are covered by this policy include:

• Damage to your business' Stock in Trade caused by a burst water main
• Damage to lawns, shrubs and trees caused by fire
• The cost of hiring a temporary security guard following damage to the building
