Allianz welcomes results of latest CANNEX Car Insurance Star Ratings
Allianz has been awarded State Awards in three States in the latest CANNEX Car Insurance Star Ratings survey for delivering the best value car insurance in the highly competitive motor vehicle insurance market. Allianz has also achieved leading results across a broad range of driver profiles in all States.
Nicholas Scofield, General Manager Corporate Affairs, said, “Allianz is pleased to have been awarded a CANNEX State Award for Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania for delivering the best value car insurance in those States. In all States, Allianz scored highly across a broad range of profiles for drivers of different ages and genders.”
“Overall, the results are an acknowledgement of the concerted effort that everyone at Allianz puts in to bringing to the market insurance products that are innovative and competitively priced, have high quality features and benefits, and which are backed up by excellent customer service at claim time, when it matters most”, he said.

Mr Scofield said, “the motor vehicle insurance market is highly competitive and overall Allianz’s products are among the market leaders. This comes through in the fact that Allianz is well represented in the higher ratings in just about all categories but with some variation State to State. This is despite the fact that our policies’ features are the same in each State and, while premiums vary to reflect local circumstances (eg repair costs and theft rates), that variation is usually fairly modest”.
“The key take-out from the ratings is that consumers should shop around to make sure they find the policy that best suits their needs. Consumers should look closely at the different policy features and benefits on offer. This is because the survey puts a high weighting on premium cost (70-85%) compared to policy features. Thus, chasing a slightly lower premium can sometimes be a false economy if you place a higher value on non-price features such as Allianz’s choice of repairer policy and excellent claims service”, Mr Scofield concluded.
