Keeping a contents checklist will help you understand the correct replacement value of your Home contents and assist you in recovering your stolen goods.
Visit each room in your house and write down the serial or model numbers of valuables as well as how much you paid for them. Better still, take a photograph or use a video camera to record these details.
If you make a home insurance claim, most insurers will need to see your valuations. To be fully covered, you must provide evidence of the value and ownership of items which verifies the insured value of each item of specified contents and specified and unspecified personal effects.

Home Insurance discounts
Up to 40% discount is made up of three discounts. First discount is up to 30% No Claim Bonus, second discount is up to 10% discount for combining buildings and contents covers on the one policy and the third discount is up to 10% discount for buying online. Discounts may not be applied to any Flood or Personal Effects components of the premium (if applicable).
30% No Claim Bonus
To qualify for the maximum No Claim Bonus of 30%, customers must have had no home or contents insurance claims in the preceding five years. However, customers who have had up to two claims in the preceding five years may still qualify for reduced No Claim Bonus.

To qualify for the maximum No Claim Bonus of 30%, landlords must have had no landlord losses in the preceding three years. However landlords who have had up to two claims may still qualify for reduced No Claim Bonus.
Cost per Day
Cost per day is based on the average annual premium paid between 1/1/14 and 18/5/14 by new Renter’s Insurance customers insuring $60,000 of contents cover only under SureCover Home Insurance. Excludes optional covers such as Flood and Personal Effects. Individual premiums may vary depending on rating factors such as suburb, insured age and claims history.
