Claims Process and Repair Charter

At Allianz, we believe that customers should be able to use a repairer of their choice, when getting their vehicle repaired following a claim.


Because we believe this, we have written the nation’s first full charter between an insurer and motor vehicle smash repairers. The charter aims to ensure Allianz has the best possible relationship with the repair industry to the mutual benefit of customers, repairers and brokers.

The charter sets out Allianz’s understanding with repairers on the following:

  • Customer choice of repairer
  • Vehicle assessment
  • Vehicle parts
  • Repairer guarantees
  • Payment terms

What does this mean for you? During your claim, we will happily assist you in selecting a repairer but if you prefer to use some one else, you can feel confident that your claim will receive the same excellent Allianz service.
