Car Insurance Cover Options

Allianz offer a range of Car Insurance cover options, as outlined below, that can be selected in addition to the cover provided in both of our Comprehensive Car Insurance policies.

Rental or loan car following an accident

We understand that having your car off the road can cause you a lot of inconvenience and disruption to your work and personal life. To help ease the inconvenience you may experience, we will provide you with a rental or loan car if your own car is involved in an accident, or if a rental or loan car is not available, pay you a daily travel allowance of $30. The maximum daily rental charge we will pay is $75. We will provide the rental or loan car benefit for a maximum of 14 days. This option is available for a small additional fee.

Protected no claim bonus

We offer no claim bonus protection for a small additional fee, so that you can be confident that your no claim bonus is not affected in the event of an accident or claim. We will not reduce your current no claim bonus entitlement for the first claim in any one period of car insurance which is your fault or where the responsible party cannot be identified. This option is only available if you currently hold a maximum no claim bonus rating.

Removal of basic excess for windscreen claims

If the windscreen or window glass in your vehicle is accidentally broken, we will not apply an excess to your car insurance claim. This option applies to the first claim in any one period of car insurance, where the glass fracture extends through the entire thickness of the glass and where there is no other damage to the vehicle. This option is available for a small additional fee.

Restricted drivers

This option restricts cover to the drivers of your car to 30 years of age and over. Selecting this option will give you a reduction on your premium.

Increase your basic excess

For a reduction on your car insurance premium you can nominate to increase the basic excess payable for at-fault claims. In the event of an at fault claim, your voluntary excess would be greater than the basic excess. This option can lead to savings on your premium. Please note, not available on internet motor product.
